All time favorite Color Palettes

Featured

The past couple weeks we’ve talked a lot about using colors!  We’d gone over  Combining backgrounds and colors, and Color harmony,  and on this topic we want to give you some helpful insight into Color Palettes which can drastically improve the way you select complementary colors.

The basis of using colors in design is the ability to mix and match tones that go well together.  Let’s explore some of the trending palettes and we’re learn when to use them in your content’s design.

With each palette the hex color value is provided (ex. b4ac01).   You can input these values into any popular design tool’s color picker including Visme.

100 Fruits of passion

This colorful palette brings up Mediterranean colors for a sober and elegant feel. The tones resemble colors from the late 80’s. We recommend using this for soft but yet semi-bold designs while using strong fonts.

This is one of our favorites. The cheerful tones go well with most backgrounds – especially with semi dark gray and blues – and they go from dark to light and then dark again with burgundy.

Clair de lune

ClairDeLune

Clair de lune is an elegant palette.  It goes from dark to light in a smooth manner without coming off too strong.  These tones can be combined in any way – without needing to follow a specific sequence – and they will still look great. We recommend it for feminine and delicate designs.

Free Hugs

Not too dark, and definitely not too bright, this palette combines different tones that somehow go nicely together. Who would have thought baby blue could look so nice next to a very dark purple? It does, and they all look great together for cheerful yet elegant design.

Fresh Cut Day

Another one of our favorites, this palette resembles a sunny day outside. From blue to green, its earthy bright tones go well with almost every type of design. We recommend this palette for young perky designs.
