101 of the Best Infographic Examples on 19 Different Subjects

best infographics best infographic examples

Infographics are everywhere, but not all are created equal. Visme previously set out to discover what makes a viral infographic and found the most successful designs share common elements. To better illustrate our conclusions, we’ve scoured the Web and found 101 of the best-designed infographics in a variety of popular categories.

How do we determine an effective infographic? As we discussed in our e-book, “How to Make Infographics,” a truly great infographic must meet the following six requirements:

  • It tells a story.
  • It takes your eyes on a predefined journey.
  • It is well-structured.
  • It sends a clear message.
  • It is visually appealing.
  • It is accurate and well-researched.

Using Buzzsumo, we searched for the most shared infographics of the past year in popular categories such as climate change, productivity and entrepreneurship. From those popular designs, we determined which met each of our six infographic requirements and featured effective messaging, a high-quality design, useful information and a unique perspective on widely-covered topics.

To make our list, infographics also must have cited credible sources to back up any claims or presented facts, either within the design or in accompanying text.
